Woodridge Country Estate is set in the heart of the Midlands Meander and overlooks the beautiful Balgowan Valley. Woodridge offers luxury accommodation, superb cuisine and a large variety of on site guest facilities.
Woodridge is a well known Wedding and Conference venue and has won many awards including the 2005 AA's Country Style Retreat Large award. Our restaurant was rated as one of the top 100 restaurants in South Africa by the Superior Choices Platinum collection.
Woodridge offers plated menu's for up to 120 people. Conference & Wedding packages are tailor made to all our clients needs and our onsite Wedding & Functions coordinator will see that all your requirements are met.
Woodridge has just completed a chapel/function room that can seat 120 guests. The chapel was built with a fully glassed front and sides and overlooks the beautiful balgowan valley.
Woodridge prides itself in excellent service, superb cuisine and luxury accommodation that all blend together to give our guests the ulitimate country experience.
Accommodation & Facilities
overlooks the Balgowan Valley. All the rooms are on suite with seperate bath and shower, tea/coffee making facilities, heaters, hair dryers, electiric blankets, fans and T.V. Our 5 Garden cottages have a double bed down stairs and two single beds up stairs. These detached cottages are on suite with seperate bath and shower, tea/coffee making facilities, heaters, hair dryers, electric blankets, fans and T.V.
Guest facilites include a Jakuzzi under a thatched roof with a sun deck, Library, Guest lounge and Health and Beauty studio. Woodridge has an on site Coffee Shop and Soap shop with a range of Bubble bath, Bath oils, Soaps, Bath salts and other body products made on site using hearbs grown in our gardens. All guest rooms are stocked with products from our soap shop.
Woodridge has an excellent restaurant that is open on Friday & Saturday night and on Sundays for lunch. Our A'La carte menu is changed daily.
Outdoor Facilities
Woodridge is set in a 103 hectare natre reserve. Guests are free to explore the property which has two well marked walking trails. The trails pass three of the five natural water sources on the property and the senic waterfall. Guests walk amongst our resident game which includes Wildebeest, Ostrick, Oribi, Blessbuck and Duiker.
With prior arrangement luxury picnics are set up in our forest on the cresent of the hill that overlooks Woodridge and the Balgowan Valley. The picnic is set amongst the wattle plantation and a waitor will serve you lunch and beverages while you sit at a beautifully set table.
Meander activities like Quad Biking, ab sailing, golf, fishing and the infamous Karkloof Canopy Tour can be booked by prior arrangement with our reception staff.
Sporting & Leisure Activities
Woodridge is set on the Midlands Meander and is 1.5 hours from the Berg.
