Tranquility Cottage at Kasouga is situated on the R72 – Sunshine Coast nestled between Port Alfred (15km) and Kenton on Sea (9km) . Our beach cottage offers a stunning view of the sea and the river. Within easy walking distance to the unspoilt beaches and lagoon, come and spend a peaceful and idyllic holiday at Kasouga.
It is here that families relax and enjoy a quiet existence and participate in wholesome activities such and sand boarding, surfing, river and sea fishing, collecting mussels and oysters, and while walking on the beach a seagull or oyster catcher will make pleasant company. Dolphins and the Southern Right Whale are frequent visitors to the shores of Kasouga. Take a walk up the beach to the famous Ship Rock a well known recreational area with lovely rock pools for the children and a very good spot for the keen angler where a large variety of different fish species are caught.
For the keen bird watcher many different species can be viewed in the indigenous bush and along the banks of the river estuary and there are also lovely walks in the indigenous bush and some lead onto the beach.
Children and animals have the right of way in this secure village, where the quaintness of dirt roads still abounds. A full time Security Guard is on duty around the clock. All shopping has to be done either in Port Alfred or Kenton on Sea.

Once on Kasouga gravel road travel until you reach the security gate – once through travel down the road – get to the hall on your right – turn right into Dell Road – pass two roads and just past the 2nd road you will arrive at Tranquility Cottage at 3 Dell Road.

Accommodation & Facilities
Our holiday cottage is fully equipped for self catering, offering 3 bedrooms, bathroom with shower and separate toilet. Our cottage is approximately 1 km from the beach, but should you wish to take the more scenic route through the indigenous bush, the trail is more or less 500m as the crow flies. We offer 3 bedrooms, 1 with queen-size bed, 1 with double bed and 1 with twin beds. We also have a sleeper couch in the dining area, only suitable for children. All linen, including bedding and two pillows, as well as bath and hand towels are provided. We ask guests to bring their own beach towels. The lounge leads onto a wooden deck with braai area which is ideal for breakfasts, braais or sundowners. We also have DSTV and DVD.
