Tia Ghee tent camp is in the forest between the mountains north of the Gamtoosrivervalley on the doorstep of the Baviaans wilderness area: 100 km from Port Elizabeth; Jeffreysbay 60km.
The vegetation change from yellowwood; stinkwood; forestelder; knobwood; ironwood; turkeyberry and many more to spekboom; jacketplum; cabbage tree; wild olive etc., to reach cycads and variaty fynbos on top of the mountain.
Wild life: bushbuck, nyala, impala, caracal, porcupine, bushpig, vervet monkey, baboon. mongoose, etc.
Bird species like Knysna lourie, black-headed oriole, emerald spotted wood dove, olive bush shrike, black backed weaver, puffback, green wood hoopoo and many more.
