Accommodation & Facilities
All rooms are spacious and seafacing and equipped with direct dial telephones, international plug points, TV and DSTV, ceiling fans and panel heaters, lock-up safes, and internet access in every room incorporating broadband hot spot areas. The hotel is paraplegic friendly and all floors are serviced with hidraulic lifts. The Lighthouse Restaurant inside the hotel serves continental and full English breakfast and also offers an a la Carte menu for lunch and dinner. Conference facilities are available and caters for 90 pax in cinema style and 65 pax in a conference layour. This facility, with it's spectacular views over the Indian Ocean, is also and ideal venue for weddings and functions.
Outdoor Facilities
Located on the Indian Ocean a Tidal Pool which is located in front of the hotel offers safe bathing for young and old.
Next to the hotel is Inner and Outer pool known to local and foreign surfers as one of the best surfing venues on the coast line. Angling, scuba diving, and spearfishing is a popular activity in close proximity.
Behind the hotel perched on the top of the peninsula is the St Blaize Lighthouse and erected in 1864.
Below the lighthouse is the Khoi-San cave which was the home of ancient inhabitants.
The start of the St Blaize walking trail is below the St Blaize Lighthouse behind the hotel and will lead you on the 30 km contour path to Dana Bay which is 15 km long. Panoramic seaviews with a constant view of waves breaking on the rocks will accompany you on your five hour walk.
Within walking distance of The Point Hotel are three restaurants each with its own food concept and where visitors have a choice between seafood, pasta, vegetarian and meat selection
Sporting & Leisure Activities
Apart from all the activities in close proximity to The Point Hotel the town offers facilities for all. Two Golf courses are located between 5km and 10 km from the hotel. Other facilities include tennis courts, bowling greens and squash courts.

Cultural & Historical interest
Discovered in 1488 the town offers various historical buildings and where visitors can view the Old Post Tree, which were the first Post Office in South Africa. Seafarers left their post in an old leather shoe which were hanging in an old Milkwood Tree. Next to the Old Post Tree is the Maritime and the Historical museum which are visited by thousands of overseas tourists every year.
