Overnight in the scenic town of Ficksburg, at the gateway to the Maluti Mountains and part of the Eastern Free State Maloti Route. Enjoy typical rural hospitality at our Guest House, centrally situated and a five minute drive from the Lesotho Border. Seven cottages and a rondavel are set in a tranquil private garden.
We are famous for wonderful breakfasts, which will keep you going through the day and we are happy to adapt to your likes and dislikes.
We also provide extra meals, picnic baskets and braai packs on request.
Two restaurants are within walking distance and reservations can be made at your request.
We are also within 70 meters from the bowling green and situated within walking distance of the centre of town.
Remember to bring your passport in case you would like to visit Lesotho and take a trip to the Katse Dam.
Advance booking is advisable, particularly during peak periods such as the annual Cherry Festival.

Accommodation & Facilities
Three rooms can accommodate 3 adults and a child comfortably.
Four rooms are spacious double rooms.
Two luxurious rooms are attached to the main house and there are two single rooms
All rooms have en-suite bathrooms with various types of baths e.g. Victorian.
Different rooms have different atmospheres and are furnished accordingly.
All rooms are equiped with a small fridge, TV and a kettle.
Oil heaters and elecric blankets are provided during the winter months.

Loose standing braais in the garden are at your disposal.
Parking on the premises ensures security.
Garden benches and lawns provide peaceful settings for tranquil reading and birdwatching.

Sporting & Leisure Activities  
18-hole golf course close by.
African Hoofbeat provides one hour to day trip horse-back tours in the surrounding countryside.
The only floating cigar boat on the nearby dam provides a scenic trip up the river with game and bird watching. A meal on this trip can be provided on request. Refreshments on the boat are also available.
On the nearby Meulspruit dam one can fish, jetski and motor-boat at one's leisure, whilst camping or caravanning in the scenic area.
Shopping for asparagus and cherry products is available from farm to consumer during the popular seasons. Asparagus farm and cherry blossom tours are offered from September to the Cherry Festival season in November.

Cultural & Historical interest   
The Sandstone Way is a walking tour in Ficksburg that allows you to see sandstone buildings, the Pellissier Art Gallery that houses paintings by Pierneef, Volschenk and De Jonge to name a few. Visit churchs, an historic jail and Boer War cemetry.
