Nestled on the slopes of the Sabie River Valley, Tanamera offers 5 luxurious dinner, bed and breakfast chalets or self-catering accommodation with breathtaking Lowveld scenery.
The chalets are surrounded by unspoilt indigenous bush, with spectacular settings and views - ensuring a relaxing, peaceful stay.
Being centrally located, you are able to explore the Lowveld Panorama including sights such as God's Window and Pilgrim's Rest. With the opening of the Kruger National Park-Phabeni Gate, it is a short 30 minute drive into this world-renowned Big Five reserve.
Accommodation & Facilities
The main lodge area is tastefully decorated, and is made up of a dining, lounge and comfortable bar area. Wooden doors open onto our main deck with a stone rim-flow pool, and exceptional views over the cascading Sabie River and Valley.
Our five magnificent chalets are fully serviced, and boast king-size beds with mosquito nets, stone baths, waterfall showers, fireplaces, and private decks from which you can take in the awe-inspiring view. Our fifth executive suite chalet offers a private swimming pool on the deck, a perfect setting to enjoy a romantic sundowner as the sun sets behind the breathtaking view. Each chalet is secluded, private and surrounded by unspoilt indigenous bush - perfect for romantic getaways. Meals can be served in our main lodge area, or if you so wish - privately in your chalet or on your deck. Rates include dinner, bed and breakfast. Children 16+
A self-catering unit, sleeping up to 10 people, offers five double bedrooms (four of which are en-suite), as well as a fully fitted kitchen, dining area, lounge with fireplace, balcony, patio and braai with private pool. The unit & lapa area offer a perfect option for family holidays, corporate groups or small weddings. Meals can be arranged on request, and served in your unit. Children welcome.
Outdoor Facilities
Tanamera, hidden deep in the Lowveld forest and indigenous bushveld, offers a wealth of birding opportunities, Enjoy general forest, and specific birding walks and attempt to spot small game such as duiker, and rarely seen avi-fauna, including the elusive Narina Trogons, Knysna Turacos, Gorgeous Bush Shrikes, Crowned Eagles and many more, all of which have been sighted on the property.
Our self-catering unit and lapa offer a perfect option for family holidays, corporate functions or small weddings.
The area is geared towards tourism with a host of activities available, all within a short drive from Tanamera. Things to do range from graceful flights in a hot air balloon to helicopter flights, cultural tours, horse trails, quad biking, river rafting and river tubing.

Self-catering unit - R1380 per unit per night for the first four people, thereafter R300 per adults, R150 per child 12 years and under, and under 5 years free.
Extra meals to self-catering guests - R120 per three course dinner, R40 per full breakfast.
High Season rates
