Solitude Retreat Centre is a space set apart from the busyness of life for connecting with ourselves, each other and God. Set in the tranquil Dargle valley, Solitude offers luxury self catering cottages at surprisingly affordable rates. The centre is behind Midmar Dam in the exclusive Petrusstroom area of the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands. The Solitude cottages overlook a dam where fishing is possible. There are beautiful walks on the property. The area is ideal for mountain-biking. The cottages may be booked for individual or group retreats, family getaways or Midlands sightseeing. Pets are welcome.
Accommodation & Facilities
Solitude Retreat Centre has four self catering cottages. Each cottage sleeps 4-6 adults. They are individually decorated in country style. Each cottage has a verandah, Jetmaster fireplace, lounge and well equipped kitchen. The beds are inviting with quality selected linen.
Outdoor Facilities
Solitude Retreat Centre has a dam on the property with bass fishing. The property is 22 hectares, most of which is natural grassland. The views from the top of the hill at stunning, overlooking the exclusive Petrustroom Valley and the back of Midmar Dam. The area is known for walks, birdwatching and cycle rides.
