Sidwell House is a new and private upmarket self-catering guest house in George, South Africa.
This charming, thatched house commands magnificent, unobstructed views of the Outeniqua Mountains and imparts a genuine holiday home atmosphere.
Located next door to the world-famous Fancourt Hotel and country club estate in the quiet suburb Heather Park, Sidwell House is ideal for business stays, family holidays or golfing holidays and for those who simply enjoy the odd game.
Sleeping eight, it is perfectly suited to four couples, two fourballs or one or two families.
Children are welcome and small pets can be accommodated by prior arrangement.
Sidwell House is also only 2 minutes from a Virgin Active gym, 5 minutes from the hospital and 10 minutes from the airport, the town centre and Garden Route Mall. The beaches of Herolds Bay and Victoria Bay are also in very close proximity.
It is available for international house exchange as well as for movie shoots on a daily rental.

A large lounge/dining room with fully equipped open-plan kitchen, washing machine and dishwasher, and full DSTV.

George
The sixth oldest town in South Africa and the main town of the Garden Route, George is situated on a plateau at the foot of the majestic Outeniqua Mountains a short drive from the Indian Ocean. Gracious architecture and beautiful, oak-lined streets combine to make George a very pleasant town to visit and stroll about in.
Roughly half-way between Cape Town and Port Elizabeth, George is perfectly located for exploring the Garden Route's diverse scenic wonders and for enjoying it's varied activities.
Activities
In the town itself or close by are The Slave Tree, King Edward VII Library, George Museum, Outeniqua Choo-Tjoe steam train rides, Bado Kidogo Exotic Parrot farm, George Crocodile Park, hop farms, scenic flights, tea gardens, animal touch farms, a cinema, a casino and excellent shopping including the brand-new Garden Route Mall.
A little further away, but within easy reach, are beaches at Herold's Bay and Victoria Bay.
Also within comfortable reach are the tourist attractions of Mossel Bay, Knysna, Plettenberg Bay, Oudtshoorn and the mysterious Cango Caves.
There is a variety of golf courses in and around the town. Other sports and interests which can be enjoyed in the area include paragliding, mountain biking, bird watching, Outeniqua power van trips, lawn bowls, scenic drives, boat trips, whale watching, angling in dam, lake or sea, horse riding, sailing, scuba diving and hiking in the mountains.
