This friendly backpackers is the only hostel in the Breede River Valley and one of only a few on Route 62, which makes it a good base for exploring the area. If you want to get away from the rat-race or indulge in some country activities, then this is the place to be. Kevin & Lynda have gone out their way to make your stay enjoyable, and it shows.

The spacious old Victorian house, dating back to the 1880’s, has been converted into a comfortable country backpackers. The rooms are big and airy with high ceilings. Experience the mystique of the large Moroccan room, with its low-down couches & cushions, candles, lanterns, incense and fireplace, while enjoying a drink & listening to cool African sounds.
Chill out on the Veranda or in the beautiful garden and watch the sun set while you drink in the great mountain views. Spend starry nights around the outdoor fire, enchanted by lamps & lanterns, after crazy, adventure-filled days.

Accommodation & Facilities
We have double, en-suite, twin and dormitory rooms as well as a small separate garden cottage . Campers are also welcome.

We have a reading room and a T.V. lounge and a wonderful 'party room' with a fire place
for those chilly winter nights

There is a large communal kitchen as well as a very sociable outdoor BBQ.
We can provide breakfast and wonderful tasty dinners on request.

Sporting & Leisure Activities   
Robertson lies in the Breede River Valley is surrounded by mountains and wine estates. The area is well known for it's award winning wines and there are 38 wine estates that can be visited for wine tasting. We are also able to take visitors on a wine tour. There are several hikes from 1 day - 3 days as well as those that just take an hour or two. Robertson Backpackers runs river rafting trips with a guide and picnic included. It is a day trip and takes in scenic views as you paddle leisurely down the Breede River. There are river boat trips, horse rides, fishing, a giant maze, health spas and many more activities to keep visitors buzy for days.
