River Destiny Lodge is situated along the banks of the exquisite Orange River. Ideal half way stop for the traveler from the Cape to Johannesburg and from Johannesburg to the Eastern Cape. Turning off from the N1 it’s just 2 km along an excellent gravel road until the sweeping expanse of green lawns tell you that you have arrived. First impressions are of course important, and the friendly hosts Jaco and Melony that greet you as you enter the reception area just reinforces the good vibes that abound.

Some of the main attractions at River Destiny Lodge are the refreshing swimming pool, fishing along the Orange River, wooden decks, game viewing, quad bikes, while the trampolines and jungle gym add up much fun and pleasure. The children will love the pool table, table tennis, dart board or challenge their friends or parents at volley ball in the swimming pool.

The popular 20 luxury en-suite bedrooms or self-catering chalets all have a spectacular view of the Orange River. Each bedroom is equipped with a fridge, kettle, coffee, tea, sugar, milk, heater and ceiling fan.
Camping sites : -
Bring your tent or caravan and discover the serenity of the Orange River while camping with the convenience of electricity outlets and spotlessly clean ablution facilities.
Conference and team building : -
River Destiny Lodge is the ideal conference- or team building venue. Groups of up to 70 delegates can be accommodated.

The lodge has its own private restaurant that serves breakfast, light meals during the day and dinner at night.
Our kiosk will take care of any shopping needs visitors may have.
Must do’s
Spectacular Gariep Dam wall is approximately 10 km from the lodge. Norvalspont Concentracion Camp is 7 km from the lodge. Free State Nature Reserve and Oviston Nature Reserve are approximately 12 km from the lodge. Many Anglo Boer War sites can also be seen in Colesberg – 34 km away and the interesting Museum in Colesberg.

Tariffs : -
R100 per person sharing. R80 per child from 12 to 18 and R60 per child under 12 years old. Children sleeping in their own camping cots are free of charge.
