Located in a quiet position close to the heart of the historic winelands village of Franschhoek (originally named Olifantshoek after the elephants that roamed the valley) it's the perfect place to relax after a day of wine tasting or browsing in antique shops and galleries in the village.
Built as a mission station in 1888, Résidence Klein Oliphants Hoek has eight en-suite guestrooms decorated in both classic and contemporary styles.
For those looking for something special there are suites with private pools, a rooftop Jacuzzi or secluded courtyards leading to scented gardens.
Enjoy sunset on the verandah with wonderful mountain views or make yourself at home in front of a big open fire in the comfortable high-vaulted lounge.
At dinner, guests are invited into the open kitchen to watch the chefs preparing a succession of ‘taster’ dishes on an old wood-burning stove, while each dish is delicately matched with top local wines.

Accommodation & Facilities
*Two Comfort Rooms: These up-stairs loft rooms are en-suite with shower over bath. The entrance is via an indoor balustrade with view into the ‘Mission- Hall’- lounge. The rooms have mountain view from the bed & bathroom windows. Airconditioning in the room.
*Two Courtyard Rooms: These rooms are situated in the Mission Hall itself and give access to either a little garden or small private courtyard, with en-suite spacious bathrooms which have a separate shower and bath. Under floor heating in the bedrooms. Advanced airconditiong and heating system.
The Classroom Suite: This former missionary-classroom has high ceilings, with direct access to a little garden/courtyard. The room has a king-size-bed, a big bathroom with double washing basins, separate shower, bath and bidet, under floor heating in the bathroom and a fireplace in the bedroom. Advanced airconditiong and heating system in the room.
The Hidden Missionary Suite: This former parish with fireplace is very secluded with a private veranda and courtyard with splash pool. It has a king-size-bed extra long and is en-suite with separate shower and bath with under floor heating. Advanced airconditiong and heating system in the room.
The Sundeck Jacuzzi Suite: This is a beautiful loft room with an extra long king-size-bed, has sspectacular mountain views. This private up-stairs room has an open plan bathroom with full body massage shower and a large private sundeck with Jacuzzi and outdoor shower. Advanced airconditiong and heating system in the room.
The Elephant Suite: This en-suite bedroom with open plan bathroom has a separate Living-dining room. It is spacious and secluded with two private sunny patios with a swimming pool and outdoor shower. There are fireplaces in the bedroom and living room. Under floor heating in the living room for cooler days. Ceiling fans. Fridge in the room.
