Orange Valley is the perfect halfay stopover for the descerning traveller or nature lover. The farm is situated near the N1 highway but still off the beaten track. Tar roads take you straight to our door where you will be greeted with typical Karoo hospitality. We have 8 suites which are tastefully decorated and we serve tasty farmhouse meals on a dinner and breakfast basis. Our dining room overlooks a pool and the Orange River Valley. A short walk to the river is most rewarding, especially at sunset. The birdlife is fantastic as a result of a variety of ecosystems the farm can support. We also offer river rafting, horse riding and fly fishing for those who are more more adventurous. On the whole a great place to enjoy and experience the Karoo.

Accommodation & Facilities
The guest complex consists of 5 en-suite rooms opening out onto a garden courtyard. Each suite has its own entrance. The homestead has 3 suites, 2 are en-suite and one has it's bathroom accross the hallway. A lounge with a fire place is wondeful for sitting quietly and reading a book or chatting with a friend or family member. Our dining room has a television (DSTV) and a great pub atmosphere is created when guests gather there for the farmhouse meals. Our pool is appreciated on the hot summer days and the view of the valley from the deck is spectacular.

Outdoor Facilities
Outdoor facilities include the dining room and swimming pool. We are also a working farm so there are some horses and sheep scattered around. We offer guided rafting trips down the Orange River and horse rides throught the veld.

Sporting & Leisure Activities  
River rafting, horse riding, fly fishing, hiking , mountain biking, 4x4 trails and birdwatching(on Orange Valley). Flyfishing for Yellowfish and Barbel in the Orange River is exciting and you can take in the magnificent scenery. Nearby is the Gariep Dam, the largest dam in South Africa. On its banks are two Nature reserves stocked with plains game. Game viewing is also available. The Forever Resorts Aventura is also on the dam. A number of historical landmarks are nearby like the Norval's Pont Concentration Camp built during the Anglo-Boer War, the Norval's pont Bridge, blockhouse and stone fortifications.

Cultural & Historical interest   
Anglo-Boer War sites like the Norval's Pont Concentration Camp, Blockhouse, railway bridge and stone forts are still intact. Bushman paintings can be found in caves nearby.
