Onse Rus has been at the heart of Prince Albert since 1852 capturing its warm and friendly ambience under its thatched roof. It's now evolved into a comfortable 3 star guesthouse. You'll immediately feel at home as you slow down to the relaxed pace of country life and take time to experience the simple beauty. Each of the 5 en suite guest rooms offers their own special character. Then there is the generous Onse Rus farmhouse breakfast of homemade muesli, fresh farm dairy, fruit juice, bacon and eggs with mouth watering local preserves. Just wait until you taste the cream! While hiking, spot Grysbok or Kudu dashing across your path through cool wooded kloofs or Klipspringer and Reebok bounding up the slopes ahead while eagles wheel amongst the towering Swartberg peaks. Fuel the less energetic soul with an early morning stroll through the veld or the town or simply put your feet up and relax under a pepper tree or sit by the fire with a good book and a glass of local wine. Make use of the large swimming pool and gazebo set in the private back garden. Tea and home made cake served on arrival. Simple, home cooked evening meals are also served by arrangement. Unique and unforgetable tours are offered allow us to share the beauty of Prince Albert and the surrounding areas with you - from bushmen paintings to fossils dating back 350 million years. For the experienced riders only horses are available.
