Accommodation in Simon's Town - Oceanresidence, Simon's Town, Western Cape

We welcome you to stay in our holiday home, in Simon's Town, South Africa, approximately 45 km from the center of Cape Town. The house is situated on the slopes of a hill, in a quiet neighborhood, overlooking False Bay, a bay from the Indian Ocean. Here, you can enjoy your holiday in a serene, quiet atmosphere and complete privacy.

The house
The house has an open plan living room with an adjoining dining room of 39 m2. The living room overlooks a 45m2 terrace with spectacular sea views, where you can enjoy sundown's, El fresco meals or get a sun tan.

The spacious kitchen is fully equipped with stove, fridge, microwave, dishwasher and all utensils to prepare your own meals. A laundry with washing etc. For your convenience we added a DVD to the TV-set

Downstairs there are 3 bedrooms, each with twin beds and cupboards. Across the first bedroom is the main bathroom, with corner bath, separate shower, and toilet.

At the lower level there is a double garage with a table tennis table. The house is suitable for
2-8 persons.

Outdoor Facilities 
Simon's Town is a historic and picturesque town, which offers Victorian architecture and many museums, art and craft shops, and art galleries.
There are several restaurants where you can have a delicious meal for a good price.

Five minutes walking from the house is a safe beach for swimming and sun bathing. A little further you will see the penguins at Boulders Beach. Especially during sunset, all penguins come ashore. From July till November whale watching from the sundeck is a popular activity.

Diving
Ten minutes walking from the house, you'll find one of the nicest diving spots in South Africa. Scuba diving centres offer scubdiving, underwater ecologist and nitrox/wreck penetration courses and white shark diving in season.

Golf
Only three minutes by car will bring you to the Simon's Town Golf and county club, which is open to non-members, a 9 hole course, with a lot of hidden difficulties and superb sea views. Clovelly, Lakeside and Steenberg golf courses are nearby. You will be approximately 15 minutes drive from Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve and Cape Point.
It is an easy 45 minute drive to Cape Town Centre, Airport, and Stellenbosch Winelands and wine routes. You can make a day trip to Hermanus or
Cape Agulhas. 

Sporting & Leisure Activities   
Diving

Scuba diving centres offer scuba diving, underwater ecologist and nitrox/wreck penetration courses and white shark diving in season. A wreck trail leads from deep wrecks to shallow scatter sites of archaeological importance, and reefs for those who like marine life: Roman Rock reef, Partridge Point, Castle Rock, A-Frame and Pyramid Rock with its forest offer stunning underwater photography opportunities and crayfish expeditions too!
