Set within the borders of developed private Game Parks, Nkonka Game Ranch offers full board, catered accommodation and consists of six en suite chalets.
Nkonka Game Ranch is truly a unique African Experience with its safari style chalets, cozy boma, barbecue and pool area, sauna, Jacuzzi, lively restaurant and bar area full of warmth and friendly hospitality.
Nkonka Game Ranch consists of 1300 acres and is home to a wide variety of wildlife, including Rhino, Buffalo, Giraffe, Zebra, Impala, Waterbuck and many other species.
Accommodation & Facilities
Nkonka Game Ranch consists of six en suite chalets(2 x family and 4 x 3 bed chalets and can sleep a party of 21 persons)
Rooms all have en suite bathrooms,Air-conditioners,Tea/coffee making facilities.
Game is plentiful at Nkonka Game Ranch game viewing can be arranged on site.Currently negotiations are underway for the removal of Game fences which will then incorporate all of the BIG-5.
Outdoor Facilities
Hluhluwe derives its name from the river named after the thorny monkey rope called umHluhluwe.Hluhluwe produces over 90% of South Africa's pineapples.The Hluhluwe-Umfolozi Game Reserve is acclaimed internationally for its conservation efforts.Besides the Big-Five rhino,elephant,leopard,lion & buffalo there is an astonishing variety of wildlife to ensure a fascinating encounter for the visitor.The Park is home to the largets population of the southern white rhino.The area offers zulu crafts and culture as well as an abundance of birdlife.
Sporting & Leisure Activities
From the northern banks of lake St Lucia,Maputaland stretches beyong Mozambique border to Maputo and is one of the last authentic African wilderness areas.Game viewing,bird watching,scuba diving,snorkeling,lake canoeing,fishing and cultural excursions.
Cultural & Historical interest
Inhabited since 1650's by a mixture of Thonga,Swazi and Zulu people,the tranquil plains of Maputaland is home to Ndumu Game Reserve and Tembe Elephant Park are home to the last truly wild elephants of Southern Africa.View traditional fish kraals and watch endagered leatherback and loggerhead turtles lay their eggs in the coastal dunes at certain times of the year.
