Set on the slopes of the Helderberg Mountain in Somerset West, Mooring House Guest Lodge offers a peaceful sanctuary to our guests, with spacious and tasteful accommodation (B&B or self catering), in tranquil, upmarket and pleasant surroundings.
Somerset West is just 30 minutes outside the city hustle of Cape Town and a mere 20 minute drive from Cape Town International Airport and lies between the Mountains, the Sea and is at the gateway to the numerous Wine Estates and Golfing venues, (Erinvale Golf Estate being one).
The Guest Lodge also has a large communal lounge with a fire place and a separate dining area where breakfast is served. A refreshing pool is also available for those who wish to "cool off" rather than go sight seeing.
With only 6 units in total for accommodation purposes Mooring House is a small family operated Guest House which ensures personalised attention to all Guests. Arrive as Guests and leave as family.
Accommodation & Facilities
Rooms vary from a standard size room to spacious accommodation or interleading family units. Options for twin beds or double/queen bed is available.
All units have own en-suite bathroom and double doors leading out onto a patio from where our guests can sit and absorb the splendid sunsets or distant sea views. The rooms are also equipped with TV, a coffee/tea facility,hair dryer, safe and mini fridge. Off street and secure parking is available on the premises behind electronic gates.
The Strand Beach front and the Somerset Mall (for all your shopping requirements) is only a few minutes drive away as well as other recreational activities such as hiking trails. A supermarket, hair salon, dry-cleaner and restaurant is also within an even closer proximity. Adequate and secure off street parking is available within the premises, behind electronic gates.
A sparkling and refreshing pool is also available to our guests who prefer to "cool off" rather than go sight seeing.
Outdoor Facilities
Amenities at the Guest House includes the Swimming Pool. The following venues are all in close proximity. Golf, Beach, Watersports, sightseeing, wine tasting, whale watching (in season), entertainment, bar,restaurants, tennis, gym, horse riding and the list can continue.
