Makapa Lodge is nestled against the mountain in Capri Village, bordering a private game reserve, where are birds about and other creators scurry back and forth. It overlooks Noordhoek amphitheatre and is within 5 minute drive from Fish Hoek beach, Kommetje, Simonstown and Boulders Beach Shopping Centre. We are 30 minutes from Cape Town.
Miller's Point with its lovely penquin colony, is a short 10 minutes drive and in the opposite direction is the scenic Chapman's Peak drive into Hout Bay. There are horse riding facilities on the Noordhoek beach and whale frolic 5 minutes away in False Bay. Constantia and other wine routes and Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens are also within easy reach Close by are a number of popular surfing and fishing spots.
Our 3 facilities have proved to be very popular with overseas and local tourists due to being in a central position for visting all the popular places of interestand at the same time having a country admosphere. We have ample parking within the fenced property. The standarts at the Lodge are very high. All linnen is supplied, you only have to bring your beach- towels

Accommodation & Facilities
Our guest house facilities include the two bedroomed "Burrow", which opens onto the pool.
"The Nest"' which is a snug garden log cabin suitable for a couple and "The Cve", a luxury double-bed B&B or self catering suite. "The Burrow and "The Nest" are fully equipped for self catering and all three units have TV, telephone and radio.
The sparkling pool leading out from "The Burrow" is for use by all our guests This lovely outdoor area is wind protected and most suitable for sunbathing. There are also braai facilities in the pool area.

Outdoor Facilities
Makapa Lodge lies in a 2500sq.m. garden and is very private. There is a childrens play area. A swimming pool and sundecks. As much as possible we have tried to create a indigdinous garden with Portea, Erica and the Cape Point bushes and small trees. Being next to a nature reserve, the Cape Baboons visit us every now and then, but they have never been a real menace as a matter of fact we enjoy there sporadic visits and so do our guests.
