Accommodation & Facilities
The Manor House consists of four individually and tastfully decorated suites that provide the warmth and relaxation that only the Klein Karoo can satisfy. Each suite has it's own entrance and offers a patio with direct access to the beautiful garden. The suites offer white cotton bed linen, mosquito netting for Karoo summer days, safes, coffee & tea making faccilities, heaters and ceiling fans.
Ladismith Country House offers a heartwarming breakfast in the perfect Karoo setting. Enjoy a leisurely breakfast in our dining room or on the patio overlooking the garden and Klein Karoo landscape with the welcoming sounds of Guineafowl, Hadeda, Partridges and Pheasants.
Evenings are characterized by delightful candlelight dinners, using local and fresh produce, which are creatively prepared and beautifully served.
Sporting & Leisure Activities
During the day, enjoy a scenic walk on the farm before heading out to the famous Seweweekspoort with it’s many poorts and passes. Other passes in the area includes Groenfontein-, Kruisriver-, Huisriver- and Swartberg mountain passes. Visit the historical mission station town of Amalienstein and Zoar.
Calitzdorp, the port capital of South Africa, is a mere thirty minutes drive; Oudtshoorn with it’s famous ostrich farms and Cango caves only an hour’s drive and George International Airport only two hours away.
If you feel like exploring the town of ladismith, there is plenty to offer. The town’s friendly people will charm you.
Visit ladismith cheese factory with a selection of fine and delectable cheeses. Ladismith wine cellar offers the wine lover a great wine selection.
For the hiking enthusiast there is the famous Elandsberg mountain trail that takes you all the way to Stanley’s light or Towersig mountain trail, which takes one to Ladismith’s famous landmark, Towerkop. Ladismith also has a nine-hole golf course
