Clover House is 2kms from the N12 highway linking Johannesburg/Witbank. There are numerous malls, restuarants and shopping centres in close proximity where people enjoy meals and socialise. Caesars Palace is close to the airport, and is an attractive venue for gambling and enjoying a meal. There is a very large flea market at the East Rand Mall in Boksburg, where the visitor may spend an enjoyable period browsing or shopping. There are numerous Bird Parks and Garden Centres where the visitor may enjoy tea while observing the surroundings. We are 17kms from Carnival City and Boksburg and 20kms from Johannesburg International Airport, en-route to Mpumalanga.
Accommodation & Facilities
There is a five bedroomed house, with 2 rooms with en-suite bathrooms. The house is used for Bed and Breakfast, although large groups are accommodated here, should the need arise. All linen is supplied. There are two self-catering cottages.These are fully equipped and private from the main house, with an enclosed garden. Braai facilities are available. Meals are supplied as required Pets on application
Outdoor Facilities
There are many outdoor facilities close to Clover House. Rynfield Dam is a popular Water Sport area, where motor boat racing takes place. Homestead Lake is close by, as well as the Bunny Park, where children may enjoy the outdoors, while making contact with domesticated animals. There are numerous horseriding stables close to us, and riding competitions regularly take place. There are game parks that may be visited, such as Pilansberg. The Johannesburg and Pretoria Zoos are also popular venues.
Sporting & Leisure Activities
Many sporting activities take place in the Benoni area. Golf courses are numerous, and close to Clover House. An Olympic size swimming pool is in Boksburg, where large gala events take place. Benoni Northerns is a centre where numerous sporting events take place, indoors, as well as outdoors. Competitions are numerous, with competitors seeking accommodation while taking part.Game parks may be visited such as the Pilansberg nature reserve at Magaliesberg, as well as the area at Sun City where gambling is very popular.
Cultural & Historical interest
Benoni is an old historical city, being one of the first towns built during the gold mining era. There are a few mine dumps left, the others having been recycled to the Brakpan area. There is a gold route, where the visitor may see how gold is processed at the site in Germiston. There is a cultural museum in Benoni, where objects and information from the past is displayed. In Cloverdene, one of the original corrigated houses still remains. At Bruma Lake, 25kms from Benoni, African dancers perform their arts to visitors.Gold Reef City is a popular venue for Overseas visitors.
