From the moment you arrive at Tranquility Guest House, you will be welcomed by a homely feeling of peace and relaxation, set in a unique country style decor. It is situated high on the mountainside in the quiet fisherman village of Fish Hoek in Cape Town, South Africa.

Whether you are sipping a drink on the wooden deck enjoying the scenic views of Fish Hoek, surrounding mountains and the coastline of False Bay, relaxing in the Jacuzzi, or enjoying the warm and homely atmosphere of a log fire, you will begin to realise why this venue is so appropriately named "Tranquility".

Accommodation & Facilities
Honeymoon Suite: This Suite has majestic views sweeping across False Bay to Somerset West, The Strand, Gordons Bay and across the valley of Fish Hoek to Clovelly with it’s beautiful Golf Course. The Suite has a Bath, Shower, Wash-Hand Basin, Toilet and Dressing room.

Sea View Suite: This Suite is stylishly decorated with a Cottage style interior equipped with self-catering facilities and has a bath with shower, wash-hand basin and toilet. Wooden double doors open out on to the deck to allow splendid views of Fish Hoek, the surrounding mountains and False Bay.

Mountainside Suite: This Suite has a feel of it’s own. Tucked against the mountainside enjoy the early morning sun light up the rocky mountain crags. The call of the Cape Francolin and the robin will awaken you in this fresh airy room with it’s en-suite shower, hand-basin and toilet.

Outdoor Facilities
The wooden deck at the back of the Guest House offers the guest just as much enjoyment as the rest of the house. For the more energetic, an early-morning walk up the mountain to Elsies Peak can be enjoyed (the hikers also have the optional companions of the Guest House's two border collies - Cammy and Bess).

For the keen bird watchers, sightings like the Black Eagle, Cape Eagle Owl, African Fish Eagle, Rock Kestrel and the many families of Francolins are common from the Mountain Deck. For those who are more relaxed, enjoying a book in the Jacuzzi for the afternoon, is perfect
